I work with people who are experiencing substance and mental health issues to help find a successful path to sobriety and stability. I am a firm believer that the client holds the key to their recovery and I find great joy in facilitating this discovery on an individual basis. For addiction treatment I help to navigate the challenges faced throughout the recovery process to make the needed changes to succeed. I focus on building a healthy community around supporting the recovery process. I help begin the process of healing the pain and loss addiction creates and begin the restoration of a happy health lifestyle.

When given a safe environment where they’re treated with respect and unconditional positive regard, coupled with healthy boundaries and limits, miracles can occur. That’s what I do. I respectfully develop a healthy therapeutic relationship with each teen and provide them with the canvas to change. In the spirit of Carl Rogers, I use a “person centered” approach to assist teens in identifying their own issues and subsequently, developing their own solutions to their challenges.

Having been a resilient teen myself, overcoming challenges, I started working in the behavioral health profession in 1990. I hold licensure (LADAC) in the state of New Mexico since 1997 permitting me to specialize in working with individuals who struggle with substance use issues and their accompanying struggles.

I have been married to a most wonderful woman for more than 25 years and we have two adult children, one who struggles with Autism and Developmental Disabilities. I am a baseball and football enthusiast. In an effort to remain young at heart, I play computer games and read fantasy novels in my spare time.

She approaches all facets of any job with a positive, hard-working mindset and is eager about finding solutions to any challenge. She brings with her an extensive background in customer service from health care management, fundraising and medical environments. She is excited to bring these experiences and enthusiasm to our team and clients.
